2019 is here, which means the final countdown to Conarium on consoles has begun! We’ve been working hard to bring the game to both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at the same quality as the PC release.
Porting the game has been challenging in many ways. As a small indie studio, we had to get creative with our limited resources to implement and test HDR support – a feature beyond our original release and the one we’re probably most excited about!
PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X enhanced
We can also confirm that Conarium has been enhanced for PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X. On these platforms, you’ll have the option to choose between two modes: ‘Favour performance’ or ‘Favour resolution’. Choosing favour performance will lock the game at a resolution of 1080p, running at 60 frames per second. Choosing favour resolution will boost the resolution on both consoles significantly, and lock the performance at 30 frames per second.
We’re proud to be delivering a visual quality on par with the PC version – Conarium boasts real-time lighting, dynamic shadows and highlights on all platforms. Another hurdle has been level streaming and resource management. Getting the balance right and ensuring smooth loading has been a priority for us – but we’re almost there!
Thank you all for your support and feedback, and for so many of you to be looking forward to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One releases. Make sure to follow Conarium on Twitter for all our latest news, including the pending console release date announcement!
